Just before this truly unique Panyong Golden Needle is harvested in early spring, tea bushes are completely shaded for three weeks to increase production of chlorophyll in tea leaves. After being hand-picked in the early morning, leaves are fully oxidized under control of tea master. That is a very short overview of the tea's story just before it reached you.
